KHAVANSKIY ALEXEY IVANOVICH

Candidate of Historical Sciences, Senior Researcher of the Institute of Archaeology named after A.Kh. Margulan of the Committee of Science of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Graduated from Orenburg State University, followed by postgraduate studies at the Institute of Archaeology (Moscow). In 2013, at the Institute of Archaeology of the Russian Academy of Sciences he defended his PhD thesis on the topic "Ceramics of the beginning of the late Bronze Age of the Southern Ural".

Scientific interests:

- Bronze Age of Ural-Kazakhstan steppes

- Ancient ceramics as a historical source

- Statistical-combinatorial methods in archaeology

Expeditions.

Took part in the following expeditions:

- Orsk Museum of Local History and Orsk Humanitarian and Technological Institute, monuments of Bronze - Early Iron Age era

- New Jerusalem expedition of Institute of archeology of RAS (Middle Ages monuments)

- Pomorskaya expedition of Institute of archeology of RAS (Solovetsky Islands, Middle Ages monuments).

- Condinsky team of the Institute of Archaeology and Ethnography of the Russian Academy of Sciences (settlements of the Neolithic era)

- Aktobe expedition of the A.Kh. Margulan Institute of Archaeology of Kazakhstan (Bronze - Early Iron Age era)

Author of more than 40 scientific works, including one monograph.
